Heidi Campbell, TN State Senator, will speak to the AU Nashville Chapter about Tennessee’s 113th General Assembly. Her speech will include an overview of Governor Lee’s school voucher scam, navigating an often-hostile legislature dominated by Christian Nationalists, and her hopes for the next General Assembly.
Heidi Campbell is a music marketing director and has owned her own music publishing company since 1995. She began her public service as a community activist and served as mayor of Oak Hill, a small suburb south of Nashville from 2014 to 2020. Campbell has represented the 20th district of the Tennessee Senate, covering the inner suburbs of Nashville, since 2021. A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management, she is a mother of two young adults and three golden doodles.
